Varsity Head Coach

Matt Evans

Matt Evans is entering his fifth season as the Lady Braves head coach.

The Lady Braves are 56-14-11 under Coach Evans and were 2021 and 2023 OCC champions. The 2022 season saw Coach Evans achieve his 100th career victory as a head coach and the 2024 season saw h8im become the winningest coach in Olentangy Girls Soccer history. His overall record is now 135-38-20.

Before being named head coach at Olentangy in 2021, Coach Evans was the Head Coach of the Jonathan Alder girls soccer program from 2015-2020. While at JA, he compiled a record of 79-24-9 in 6 years as head coach. During his time at JA, the Pioneers won two conference championships (2015, 2016) and one district championship (2015). They also made 2 other district final appearances.

Coach Evans was also named Central District Coach of the Year in 2016. 

Coach Evans is a 2006 graduate of Hilliard Darby High School and a 2010 graduate of Columbia College Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports Journalism. Coach Evans currently works in healthcare and resides in Commercial Point with his wife Jordyn, daughter Hudson (5) and daughter Emerson (3).

Bailey Zanella

Bailey Zanella is a 2021 graduate of West Geauga, where she played soccer and ran track. She was a 2x WG Player of the Year and 4x 1st team All-CVC player. She also played soccer at Otterbein, where she excelled on and off the field. During her time at OC, she was team captain, 3x 1st team All-OAC, 1st team All-Ohio, 2x 2nd team All-Ohio, 2nd team All-Region, OAC Freshman of the Year, OAC Midfielder of the Year, 2x Academic All-OAC and 2x CSC Academic All-District. Bailey will be the varsity assistant and midfielder’s coach.

Varsity Assistant/ Forward's

Alex Stein

Alex Stein is a 2021 graduate of Pickerington North, where she played soccer and ran cross-country. She was also part of NHS and received a distinguished scholar award for her overall GPA. She also played soccer at Otterbein and received her bachelors in Sport Management, Business & Marketing. She has experience with individual coaching sessions, personal training and is currently a club coach for Polaris SC for U10 Boys and U14 Girls. Alex will be the varsity assistant and forward’s coach.

JVB Head Coach

Cierra Clemons

Cierra Clemons is a 2020 graduate of Olentangy Orange, where she played soccer and ran track. She also played soccer at Otterbein, where she was a 3rd team All-OAC player and captain as a senior. She also won the coaches award and ran youth camps while at OC. Off the field, she majored in public relations and health communications. Cierra will be the JVB head coach.
